Chairman - Miles Herman
Mr. Herman has been President, Chief Operating Officer and a Director of LEAF Financial Corporation since January 2002. He held various senior operational offices with Fidelity Leasing, Inc. and its successor from 1998 to 2001, ending as Senior Vice President. From 1990 to 1998, he held various operational, marketing, program management, business development and sales positions with Tokai Financial Services, Inc., most recently as Director of Capital Markets. Before that, he served as Vice President, Operations and Sales at LSI Leasing Services, Inc. from 1989 to 1990, and as a manager of operations at Master Lease Corporation from 1984 to 1989.
Director - Robert Hunter
Mr. Hunter has been LEAF Financial Corporation’s Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer since February 2007. He was Senior Vice President with Citicorp Vendor Finance from June 2001 to February 2007 where he was responsible for corporate business development and marketing. From October 1998 to June 2001 Mr. Hunter was Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Fidelity Leasing, Inc. prior to Citicorp’s acquisition of Fidelity Leasing in 2001. From 1988 to 1998, Mr. Hunter held several sales and senior management positions with Master Lease Corporation and subsequently Tokai Financial Services, Inc. Mr. Hunter has been an active member of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Associations and served as Chairman of the Small Ticket Business Council as well as a member of the Industry Future Council and Financial Accounting Committee. Mr. Hunter received a B.S. degree in Accounting and Business Administration from The University of New York in 1986.
Director - Daniel Courtney
Mr. Courtney has been Senior Vice President, Investment Programs of LEAF Financial Corporation since October 2005, and he has also served as Senior Vice President, Investment Programs of LEAF Asset Management since its formation in August 2006. Mr. Courtney also is registered with Chadwick Securities, Inc., an affiliate of LEAF Financial Corporation’s parent company. Mr. Courtney was Senior Vice President with ATEL Capital Group from October 2003 to October 2005. ATEL is a San Francisco-based sponsor of leasing limited partnerships. From April 2000 to October 2003 Mr. Courtney was Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for BridgeSpan, Inc., which provided technology and financial services to banks and insurance companies. From 1984 to 2000 Mr. Courtney served in various sales and marketing management roles for various fund sponsors of real estate and equipment leasing programs and as a registered representative with Stifel Nicolaus & Company in St. Louis. Mr. Courtney is a General Securities Principal, holds various NASD securities licenses, and received a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Southeast Missouri State University.
Director - Shivan Govindan
Mr. Govindan serves as Managing Director for Resource Financial Institutions Group, Inc. Prior to joining Resource Financial Institutions Group, Inc., in 2004, Mr. Govindan focused on making private equity investments in financial services companies. From 2000 to 2004, Mr. Govindan served as a Principal of Beehive Ventures, LLC, a Deutsche Bank-seeded early state private equity firm investing in the financial services industry. Before that, starting in 1998, he served as Director of Corporate Development for IQ Financial Systems, a DB Ventures portfolio company providing risk management software and other services to leading financial institutions. Mr. Govindan is a director of First NBC Bank in New Orleans, LA. He began his career at Bankers Trust in 1995 and he earned a B.A. degree in English Literature from the University of Pennsylvania in 1995.
